Fundraising?
Dennis Moore has raised almost twice as much money as Kris Kobach. Kobach claims that they are going to make a huge push to win over undecided voters in the last week of the campaign. Kobach is out raising money from supporters to fund that, making this even more confusing for me:
"Campaign records show that Kobach has recouped about $18,000 of the $51,000 he borrowed privately to help out his congressional campaign. He also has repaid himself $11,000 for contributions he gave to the campaign before the primary.
“I don't know whether I am going to win or lose, but regardless, I don't want to mortgage my family … just in the pursuit of political office,” said Kobach, noting that he is on leave from his job as a law professor." KC Star 10-27-04
How do you ask people to donate to your campaign while you are taking back your contributions in case you lose?

While you're rants may be a critique of the current divide within the Republican party, they are certainly not improving matters. Must be tough knowing you're sitting on the sidelines again this year.
Don't know if I'd call "sitting on the sidelines" what Tim is doing. He worked dilligently during the primary, holds an office in the Johnson County Young Repbublicans and publicly comments on what he thinks about current politics.
He also attaches his name to his thoughts instead of hiding behind anonymous comments like a six year old.

Tim, you've done a great job maintaining both your political stance and your integrity with this blog. I personally enjoy reading your views on politics, but more specifically, on this race in the 3rd District.
For the angry, nameless person who left his/her opinion, here is my take......
(Oh, BTW, my name is Andy)
Even though i am a registered Democrat, i find interesting the impact that Kobach edging out Taff in the 3rd District primaries has brought to the GOP of Johnson County. It has made the Moderate Republican really look deep within himself/herself to find what it is they really stand for.
What is even more interesting is that it has made most Johnson County Republicans doubt their loyalty to their own party. This man, Kris Kobach, stands for all the wrong things . He has no balance. He is so far to the right that it scares even most Republicans.
The only chance the GOP had of unseating Dennis Moore was missed when the far right conservatives of JOCO chose Kris Kobach to be their candidate in this election.
